To participate in an in-season PIAA sport, student-athletes must provide proof of insurance detailed on the PIAA Preparticipation Physical Form. Parent/Guardian or individual coverage is the primary coverage should a student-athlete experience an injury. The School District has secondary injury insurance coverage for all athletes when the injury is of a "catastrophic nature." That insurance is limited in scope and coverage due to the nature of athletics. CLICK HERE for more information about the secondary student-athlete accident insurance.
Individual insurance plans may be purchased at a nominal cost to assist UP families with medical coverage for their student. Two types of plans are available based on the coverage level. CLICK HERE for more information about purchasing student insurance.
